Most of the over-the-counter remedies are accompanied by some very annoying side effects. Fortunately, mother nature has already found the answer for you. Packed full of vitamins and minerals, this summer smoothie recipe will blast away the rest of your summer allergies and help you make it through the rest of the year as well.

Summer Blast Allergy Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 kiwi fruit (peeled)

  • 1 medium-sized Beet

  • 1 cup of cranberries

  • 1 avocado

  • 1 cup of spinach leaves

  • 1 cup of chopped Pineapple

  • 2 tsp of matcha green tea powder

  • 2 tablespoons of spirulina powder

Directions:

Make sure to use fresh ingredients when you are able. Fresh ingredients have a better effect than using frozen. You should never use canned fruit or vegetables for health benefit smoothies, as the canning process destroys most nutrients.

1. Peel and chop the Kiwi, Beet, Avacado (make sure to remove the seed), and Pineapple.
2. Place all the fruits and vegetables in a blender at high speed for 30 sec, or until mostly broken down into liquid state.
3. Add powdered ingredients and blend until smooth.
4. Pour and enjoy, makes 2 servings.
