There’s nothing better than taking a nice, relaxing bath when you are feeling under the weather, especially if it can help reduce your congestion at the same time. Our recipe below is sure to help provide some relief from the symptoms you face and will help soothe and relax your muscles. DIY Allergy Bath Salt Recipe

What You Need:

• 2 cups of Himalayan pink salt
• 2 cups of Epsom salt
• 1 cup of baking soda
• 10-15 drops of eucalyptus essential oil
• 10-15 drops of peppermint essential oil
• 15-20 drops of lavender essential oil
• 5-10 drops of cinnamon essential oil
• 1 Tbsp. of your choice of carrier oil (i.e., coconut, almond, jojoba, etc.)
• Airtight container
• Mixing bowl
• Funnel
• Whisk or wooden spoon

Directions:

1. Add ingredients into a large mixing bowl, minus the essential oils, and mix well with a whisk or a wooden spoon.

2. Add in essential oils, and adjust to taste. Mix well.

3. Use a funnel to add your bath salts to your choice of container(s). Ensure that the container is airtight, and keep stored in a cool and dry place.

4. To use in a bath, add 1-2 cups to warm bathwater. Stir with your hands to dissolve bath salts.

5. For showers, sprinkle a ½-1 cup across shower floor and shower as usual.

6. When using for the first time, keep your bathes short in the beginning. You will want to see how your body reacts. Consult with your physician if you have medical conditions before using this DIY recipe.
