Cold and flu season is in full swing, so fever, aches, pains, the sniffles, become all too common. When this happens, you want to get better quickly. It is never fun to be under the weather! However, fighting off the cold and flu with a cold and flu tea recipe is an excellent way to warm your bones and keep you healthy.

Echinacea Cold and Flu Tea Recipe

Ingredients:

⦁ Filtered water
⦁ 1 organic echinacea tea bag
⦁ 1 organic elderberry tea bag
⦁ 3 TBSP of organic lemon juice
⦁ 1/4 tsp of organic clove
⦁ 1/2 tsp of organic cinnamon
⦁ 3-4 thin slices of organic ginger root
⦁ 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder
⦁ Raw, organic honey (to taste)

Directions:

1. Heat filtered water to the desired temperature (160-180 degrees Fahrenheit), pour water into a large mug.
2. Steep the echinacea and elderberry tea bags, as well as the sliced ginger for 5 minutes.
3. Remove tea bags, and if you want, the sliced ginger. Add in the turmeric, cinnamon, clove, lemon juice, and the honey and stir well.
4. If you would like to remove the ground spices and the sliced ginger, strain the tea through a cheesecloth.
5. Drink up to your health and enjoy! For best results, when you are feeling under the weather, drink at least 2-3 cups a day.
